Member Activities

Adult Learning Disability Go-cartingA newsletter is produced every 2 months with a range of activities – usually 2 to 3 per week that members and volunteers can choose to book on. There are no rules on the number of activities you can do, just choose the ones that work around your life and interests.

Some of the activities we have offered include:

Theatre trips both locally and in London, meals out, social evenings, art classes, sport activities, knitting and sewing, discos, Chessington, trips to the seaside, go-karting, bowling and chocolate craft sessions.

The Newsletter (please see link, below) and Membership Forms, also gives you the opportunity to say what activities you would like, and where possible, we try to include these in future programmes.

We run Clubs for two of our popular activities: Creative Art and Kurling. These are offered at a reduced price based on the cost of 12 sessions a year and have proved to be very popular. Once you have signed up to a Club, we issue a membership card with the full years dates on it and you no longer need to book or pay for it.

Other Activities

Other activities are booked on the newsletter booking form (link, below) which you then send into the office, with the relevant payment for all the activities booked. This needs to be received two weeks before the date of the first activity, to guarantee you for consideration. This allows us to ensure we have adequate volunteer support and prepare all the necessary paperwork, including emergency information. A member may only attend an activity if they are booked on it;

  • If paying by Cheque, please make the Cheque out to Supported Activities Programme and post to Supported Activities Programme, The Icknield Centre, Icknield Way, Letchworth, Herts, SG6 1EF
  • If paying by Electronic Banking, our details are: Lloyds Bank | Sort code: 77-05-04 | Account number: 27604068. Please make sure to put your name as the reference.
  • Please note, you will not be booked on to an activity until we have received payment.
Supported Activities Programme has a duty of care for all our members from the moment they arrive for an activity until they leave. Getting to and from the activity is your responsibility.
